State owned company Konštrukta Defence, controlled by the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic, signed on Wednesday, June 1st 2022, a commercial contract for self-propelled howitzers Zuzana 2.
Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: „Agreement was reached after weeks of intense negotiations. Thank you to the company’s leadership and colleagues at the Ministry of Defence for their quick action. Situation in Ukraine demands our full attention, expertise and sincere interest.” Minister Naď also thanked to Ukraine’s Minister of Defence O. Reznikov for his personal involvement.
Minister appreciated this contract as it is both a great success for Slovak defence industry and creates significant opportunities for further development of the company. Alexander Gursky, head of the Konstrukta Defence said: „It is undoubtedly an important contract that is showing our capabilities, expertise and profesionalism in the defence industry. At the same time it is an important moment for our employees. They will have employment guarantee thanks to the contract.“
We will deliver 8 self-propelled howitzers Zuzana 2 to Ukraine. Due to the character of the contract and request by Ukraine, we will not be disclosing further details.
