The Ukrainian armed forces have taken over the eighth Slovak-made Zuzana 2 self-propelled cannon howitzer, which will strengthen the Ukrainian defense against the aggression of the Russian Federation. It is also the last of eight Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers that Slovakia, through the state-owned joint-stock company KONSTRUCTTA-Defence belonging to the Ministry of Defence, undertook to deliver to Ukraine under a commercial sale contract concluded last June. The transfer of each piece of equipment, including this one, was carried out by the department after the payment was credited to an account in the administration of the Ministry of Defence.

“To date, we have supplied Ukraine with a whole battery of high-quality artillery systems from the production of our domestic defense industry. We believe that the Ukrainian defenders, with their help, will save as many lives as possible and bring their homeland closer to an unconditional victory over an enemy that only continues to plunder, terrorise and kill, as it continues to fail on the battlefield,” said Minister Naď.

In addition to fulfilling the contract for the supply of 8 pieces of self-propelled howitzers, Zuzana will produce another 16 pieces of this type of equipment for Ukraine under the contract for commercial sale, which will be financed jointly by the Kingdom of Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of Norway.
