On 3 March 2023, the first Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held on board LSS “Jacques Chevallier”, first of class of the 4 Logistic Support Ships (LSS) ordered by OCCAR for the French Navy, within the LSS programme.

On 29 April, the first of the four force replenishment vessels (BRF – Bâtiments Ravitailleurs de Force in French) of the FLOTLOG program was launched in Saint-Nazaire.
The Alsace is the seventh multi-mission frigate to join the ranks of the French Navy. An eighth frigate of the same type, the Lorraine, is currently undergoing tests, with acceptance scheduled for the end of 2022.
