In order to accelerate the achievement of combat capabilities in the field of combating air threats the first copies of the short-range anti-aircraft missile system based on CAMM missiles, produced by the MBDA UK, were introduced to equip the Polish Armed Forces.
The PGZ-NAREW consortium concluded an agreement with MBDA regarding the schedule and terms of delivery of the NAREW system components from the British partner.
On the 14th April an executive agreement was concluded between the State Treasury – the Armaments Agency and the PGZ-NAREW consortium for the supply of initial elements of the effector system and their integration with components provided by the Polish Armed Forces under the NAREW program.
On the 29th of April, during his visit to 3. Brygadzie Rakietowej Obrony Powietrznej (3rd Rocket Air Defense Brigade), Polish minister Mariusz Błaszczak informed about anti-aircraft defense system programme Narew, which will be complementary to the Patriot sets.
